“Shake Your Money Maker”, l’album di debutto dei TheBlack Crowes, sarà ripubblicato in diversi formati il 26 febbraio 2021 da Universal Music / American Recordings.
I fratelli Chris e Rich Robinson, membri fondatori della band, hanno supervisionato la nuova edizione ampliata insieme al produttore originale George Drakoulias.
I contenuti
Dei vari formati, le versioni più interessanti sono le due Super DeLuxe, 4LP e 3CD, che includono l’album originale rimasterizzato, tre registrazioni in studio inedite, due demo della prima incarnazione della band quando ancora si chiamava Mr. Crowe’s Garden, varie B-side ed uno spettacolare concerto inedito di 14 canzoni registrato ad Atlanta, loro città natale, nel dicembre 1990; i due cofanetti contengono anche le riproduzioni del volantino, della setlist e del pass di uno dei primi concerti dei Mr. Crowe’s Garden, un patch dei Crowes ed un libro di 20 pagine con note bio-discografiche del giornalista David Fricke.

“Charming Mess“, una delle canzoni in studio inedite, che originariamente doveva essere il primo singolo della band e venne invece esclusa dall’album, è già disponibile sulle piattaforme digitali.
2CD Deluxe / REMASTERED CD / VINILE
L’album sarà disponibile anche in una versione doppio CD contenente l’album rimasterizzato e le bonus-track inedite, in singolo CD rimasterizzato e in vinile, LP 180g.
Shake Your Money Maker – La storia
“Shake Your Money Maker” uscì originariamente nel 1990, in un momento in cui la scena rock era dominata dal pop e dall’hair metal. I Black Crowes diedero un’energica svolta al genere con il loro album di debutto. La band, con l’album trascinato da singoli come “Jealous Again”, “Twice As Hard” e “She Talks To Angels” e da una straordinaria cover di “Hard To Handle” di Otis Redding, ha letteralmente sconquassato il mondo della musica; “Shake Your Money Maker” ha venduto oltre 5 milioni di copie ed il gruppo è stato eletto dai lettori di Rolling Stone “Best New American Band” alla fine del 1990.
La band è attesa in Italia nel novembre 2021 per un live.
