OUVREZ LE CHIEN è stato registrato live presso lo Starplex Amphitheater di Dallas, il 13 ottobre 1995 durante la tappa statunitense dell’Outside tour.
La frase”OUVREZ LE CHIEN” appare per la prima volta nella canzone ‘All The Madmen’ di “The Man Who Sold The World”, che celebra quest’anno il suo cinquantesimo anniversario. Bowie ha usato questa frase anche nel singolo del 1993 ‘Buddha Of Suburbia’, scrivendo “ouvre” senza la Z. La “Z” è stata ripristinata quando la frase e la sua traduzione in inglese sono state messe bene in evidenza sul palco dell’Outside tour nel 1995.
OUVREZ LE CHIEN comprende anche le due bonus track ”Moonage Daydream” e “Under Pressure”, registrate live presso il National Exhibition Centre di Birmingham, il 13 dicembre 1995. Prima disponibili solo nel CD del singolo Hallo Spaceboy, entrambe le tracce debuttano ora in streaming.
OUVREZ LE CHIEN è stato prodotto da David Bowie e registrato da Steve Guest e mixato da David Richards presso i Mountain Studios, in Svizzera, con l’assistenza di Sam Curtis.
